RoleReady ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered job application tracking platform available at rolereadyai.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide when using this service.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:

- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your resume or application data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
4. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
- Contract performance, processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests, improving the product, preventing fraud, sending transactional emails
- Consent, for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies
- Legal obligation, retaining records as required by law
5. Third-party services
We use a limited number of carefully selected third-party services to operate RoleReady:
- Base44, our backend infrastructure provider (database, authentication, file storage). Data is processed in accordance with their Data Processing Agreement.
- OpenAI / Google AI, used to generate AI content. Job descriptions and resume excerpts may be sent to these providers as part of the generation process. They do not use this data to train their models under our enterprise agreements.
- Google AdSense, serves advertising on public pages. Google and its third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites, and to measure the performance of those ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or manage advertising cookies at Google's Advertising Cookies page. See Google's Privacy & Terms for full details.
- Google Analytics, anonymous usage analytics.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access, request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification, ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure, request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction, ask us to limit how we use your data
- Portability, receive your data in a portable format
- Object, object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent, at any time, for consent-based processing

8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, if you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
